During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, CAS made a series of outstanding achievements in high-temperature superconductivity. For the first time, Professor Chen Xianhui of China University of Science and Technology broke through the Macmillan limit of traditional superconductors in iron-based superconductors (atmospheric pressure), confirming that iron-based superconductors are another type of unconventional high-temperature superconductors besides copper oxy-compounds.
