With the deepening of China’s frontier research, some scholars call for the establishment of the discipline system of China’s borderland studies, as well as the research objects, main contents and methods, and the main topics to be studied in China’s borderland studies. However, due to the prevalence of border areas in the world and the particularity of China’s frontier and frontier issues, the construction of this discipline faces numerous difficulties.
