The climate in different parts of the world is different. Therefore, the houses around the country also have their own characteristics. In high-temperature and rainy tropical cities, many streets have pedestrian corridors (commonly known as “arcades”) on both sides of the street. For example, in cities like Xiamen, Shantou, Guangzhou, Nanning, and Taiwan Province of China, there are shops on both sides of the street. The house’s estates are “pulled out” to the heart of the street and connected to each other. On the ancient streets of many small and medium-sized towns, both sides of the street also extend the eaves to the heart of the street to form a pedestrian gallery. This kind of pedestrian gallery can be used as a big help. It can not only allow the pedestrians to suffer from the sun, but also solve the problem of shelter.
