外语教学什么方法最好?理论界从来也没有停止过争论。语言教师曾实验过语法-翻译法,视听法,听说法,自然法以及目前十分走红的交际法。这些五花八门的方法往往都自称是最好的方法,但是从语言教师的角度来看,我们仍然没有一个理想的教学理论和实践方法,各种方法理论上听起来无瑕可击,但实践效果总是很难令人满意。外语教学界的这种状况在今后很长一段时期内可能仍将如此。但是我们没有理由因此而停止探索的脚步。在目前的情况下,比较切实可行的办法是根据实际情况,综合各种理论的长处,走一条比较实事求是的道路。本文的作者在中国某所大学任教数年,他的文章从内容上讲虽然单薄了一些,可是他所提出的方法对中国教师的实践有借鉴作用。
What is the best way to teach foreign language? Theorists have never stopped arguing.
