一般说,炒制一担“龙井”或“旗枪”茶约需要用木柴5～7担,用电则需600度/百斤左右。由于茶区的薪柴日趋紧张,用电不但成本高,且供应也不足,这样,开发制茶新能源十分必要。由杭州西湖区科委承担的沼气炒茶科研项目,经近四年的试验研究,已取得了可喜的成绩,于十月下旬在杭通过了鉴定。据西湖公社南山大队畜牧场和龙坞公社长埭大队茶场试验结果表明,利用沼气炒“龙井”、“旗枪”两类名茶,不但技术上可行,茶叶质量易于控制,而且在经济上有明显的效益,还有利于改善劳动条件,维持茶区生态平衡和开展综合利用,适合于有条件的茶区社队和牧场、茶叶结合的单位推广应用。
