In May 1967, the DT & I Railway allocated Pullman a large-capacity truck equipped with a moving sill for the identification of the upper platter problem and its causes. The company’s test center in the car installed a new original program heart plate, the heart plate in the danger zone affixed with strain gauges to determine the total stress value. The upper center plate consists of a 22mm thick bottom plate welded to a hollow disc of 349mm in diameter. The top of the floor welded with two longitudinal ribs, the bottom welded with four horizontal ribs. The center plate is bolted to the center beam by two rows of bolts. The tightening of the bolts, static and full load, and rolling conditions are recorded and the rolling condition is artificially created by a specially designed device. The rolling test of these two hearts reproduces the damage in use. According to the comparison of damage to the heart plate, 70000 times contained
