当前,农村初中有很多学生对美术学科的学习不太感兴趣,主要原因:一是农村初中教学条件的限制和教师专业水平、教学观念转变的差异,使农村初中美术教育一直滞后;二是美术学科不纳入升学考试,家长和学生总认为美术学科与升学、打工就业无关紧要,所以学不学无所谓,只要文化课成绩好就行,农村学校美术教育一直不被人们重视。其实,美术教育是课改后以素质教育为目标的重要组成部分,是对学生进行美育,促进智力发展的重要手段,也是为全面提高民族素质而进行美育的重要途径。
