The fission yield has important applications in nuclear engineering (such as nuclear testing, verification, WQ storage and maintenance) and is an important basic data for determining the nuclear fuel composition and nuclear device equivalent. The significance of 240Pu as an integral part of nuclear fuel is getting more and more attention. However, due to the current lack of production data, 240Pu urgently needs to be studied. In addition to the needs of nuclear engineering, most of the current researches on fission theory and model are limited to neutron-induced fission. There are currently no mature theories and calculation methods for spontaneous fission.
