纽约时报公司作为媒体企业,其运营管理有一整套规则作为制度保障,包括公司管理总则,董事会、公司的监察、薪酬等委员会章程,约束公司全体员工的道德准则和相关政策等。本期编译的《纽约时报公司商业道德准则》(2010年2月修订)即是对公司全体员工适用的“工作行为基本法”。前期编译的《纽约时报新闻采编部门价值与实践手册》是在此“基本法”的原则之下的“部门立法”。这些规则是纽约时报公司160余年发展历程的理念和制度积淀,与公司的产品和全体员工一起,构成纽约时报公司完整的品牌形象。
The New York Times Company, as a media company, has a set of rules for its operation and management as a system guarantee, including the general rules of the company management, the board of directors, the supervision of the company, the remuneration and other articles of association of the company, the code of ethics governing the entire staff of the company and other relevant policies. This issue of the New York Times Corporate Business Ethics Code (revised in February 2010) is applicable to all employees of the company “Basic Principles of Work Practices ”. The pre-compiled New York Times News Gathering Department Values and Practice Manual is the “Departmental Legislation” under the “Basic Law” principle. These rules are the concept and system of the New York Times Company’s 160 years of development. Together with the company’s products and the entire staff, these rules form the complete brand image of the New York Times Company.
