In the view of reservoir fluid geochemistry, we have proposed that there exist bacterially-mediated organic-inorganic diagenetic alterations, i.e. hydrocarbon-water-rock interactions in the North Tarim, and that organic acids were formed in situ by biodegradation of crude oils.
