Objective To investigate the effect of palmar compression and mandibular approach on the prevention of catheterization when peripherally inserted central catheterization (PICC) is performed. Methods According to the order of admission, 76 patients undergoing PICC catheterization were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 38 cases in each group. Palpation was performed in PICC catheterization group while PICC catheterization group Tube using the mandibular shoulder method to observe the two groups of patients with ectopic catheterization. Results The incidence of ectopic PICC in experimental group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). Conclusion The use of palm compression method can prevent catheterization of PICC catheter ectopic, it is worth clinical application of grass-roots hospitals in particular.
