Looking at the inaugural speeches of all previous U.S. presidents, whether from the election of the president to the tradition of sworn hands of the Bible opened by the first President Joe Chi Washington, or from their bored use of the biblical term, citation According to the Bible’s original and allusions, and imitating the discourse and stylistic features of the Bible, the inaugural speech of the U.S. president is filled with a thick but hard-to-break Scripture plot. It is the inevitable result of mutual infiltration and mutual influence between the religious beliefs and political life of the American people based on Christians. It is also the objective need to cater to the “civil religion” and the pursuit of the speech effect.
