通行观点认为,写实是图像叙事的重要手段,两者有着密切的关系。本文认为,在中西艺术史上,写实传统有着自己独立的演进规律,图像叙事也有着更为广阔的空间,写实与叙事之间既相互关联而又时常分离。尽管图像的叙事功能向故事画提出了追求逼真的要求,但艺术家在讲述故事的过程中时常会被描绘的兴趣所吸引。中国古代绘画史上,有着丰富的图像叙事,但最生动、逼真的写实努力并不在人物故事画领域而在花鸟画中,这一现象从另一个侧面表明,图像叙事与写实程度的高低没有必然联系。
Opinion that the reality is an important means of image narrative, the two have a close relationship. This paper argues that in the history of Chinese and Western art, the tradition of realism has its own independent law of evolution, and the image narrative also has a much broader space. The relationship between realism and narrative is both interrelated and often separated. Although the narrative function of the image puts forward the pursuit of realistic demands to the story painting, the artist often attracts the interest depicted in the process of telling the story. In the history of ancient Chinese painting, there is a wealth of image narrative, but the most vivid and realistic realistic effort is not in the field of figure-story painting but in the painting of flowers and birds. This phenomenon shows from another aspect that there is no necessary connection between the degree of image narration and the degree of realism .
