First and foremost, it must be emphasized at any rate that the following situations are often at risk of being forgotten: the decision and the interpretation of the law are only a small part of the work of English judges. In every case before the court in England, the first facts must be confirmed. Sometimes, there is no dispute about the truth. If, in fact, there is some dispute, it must be settled either by a judge or by a jury.
