当前 ,林木病虫害和干旱对三北地区杨树资源造成严重危害 ,使人们对发展杨树前途产生了种种忧虑。我局通过多年调查研究 ,结合该地区经济和社会发展对林业的需求及国家一些大的林业生态工程相继开展 ,认为在三北地区杨树的作用和地位都十分重要。三北地区把发展杨树作为主栽树种在战略上是符合实际的 ,现在要针对存在的问题 ,加强管理 ,积极发展杨树 ,巩固杨树在三北防护林体系建设中的地位 ,使其为建设“山川秀美的三北地区”发挥更大的作用 At present, forest pests and droughts cause serious damage to poplar resources in the Three North regions, causing people’s worries about the future of poplar development. Through years of investigation and study by our bureau, the demand for forestry combined with the economic and social development in the region and some major forestry ecological projects in the country have been carried out in succession.
