August 20, Tom.com, a Hong Kong-based Internet company owned by Hong Kong’s most beloved businessman Li Jiacheng, announced in Hong Kong that it will establish the largest outdoor media network in China. Tom.com announced that it has acquired more than 50% of each of the five largest outdoor media companies in the Mainland for nearly HK $ 300 million. Among them, it signed a memorandum of understanding with Beijing Yanhuang Times Advertising Co., Ltd., Henan Tianming Advertising Co., Ltd., Shandong Qilu International Advertising Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Chunyu Advertising Co., Ltd. respectively to acquire the majority of their rights and interests; and with Dragon (China) Group Co., Ltd.
