海通以还(指西方教学理念及书籍进入中国),众多仁人志士为民族中兴著书立说,其中清华大学四大国学导师可谓灿若星辰。20世纪二三十年代,清华大学设立了国学研究院。冯友兰在《三松堂自序》中回忆:“先设国学门,所以又简称国学研究院。国学研究院的教授称为导师,当时只有四位导师——梁启超、王国维、陈寅恪、赵元任。”四位导师学问既大,其读书方法可借鉴之处亦多。
