The category of “holy” or “saint” can be said to include most of the traditional Chinese culture. It not only means the traditional ideal of personality, but also a concentrated expression of ethical ideals and political ideals (“inner and outer king”). There are almost as many “ways” in ancient thoughts as there are in the corresponding “saints.” Sage is a person who is a body, and thus the view of Sage certainly is a problem that can not be circumvented in the study of traditional culture. It can even be said that the traditional concept of sage clarification, but also almost sort out the traditional culture. But this is far beyond the reach of this chapter, where only a preliminary analysis and interpretation of the sages about political mythology is made.
