Utilizing the difference in ocean temperature for power generation is one of the most advanced power generation technologies and has been experimenting with Japan and the United States. Pacific Advanced Technology Research and Research Center (PICHTR) at the University of Hawaii is developing a plan for the development of a marine thermal power generation project, and Japan decided to participate in the joint experiment.
