英国科学家最近研制成功一种高透光率节能液晶显示屏,它可使便携式电脑的体积和重量进一步下降。 据英国《金融时报》报道,英国默克公司发明的这种显示屏采用了一种新型透光薄膜,它可不断地向外折射通过它的光线,从而使文字和图像亮度大大增强。实验表明,利用它制成的液晶显示屏的透光率可达70%,而普通的液晶显示屏仅为35%~40%。 目前流行的便携式电脑采用了液晶显示屏,利用光从显示屏内部向外照射形成图案。液晶显示屏透光率增加后一方面可节约电能,另一方面如果利用同样的电池可制成亮度更大的显示屏。
British scientists recently developed a high-transmittance energy-saving LCD screen, which can make the laptop size and weight to further decline. According to the Financial Times, the display invented by Merck KGaA in the United Kingdom uses a new light-transmissive film that continually refracts the light passing through it, resulting in greatly enhanced text and image brightness. Experiments show that the use of liquid crystal display made of it up to 70% light transmittance, while the average liquid crystal display is only 35% to 40%. Currently popular portable computers using a liquid crystal display, the use of light from the inside of the display screen to form a pattern of radiation. Increased transmittance of the liquid crystal display on the one hand to save energy, on the other hand if the same battery can be used to make a more brilliant display.
