涩拉秧,又叫茜草,小涩拉秧、拉巴秧,是多年蔓生草本。全枝都有倒毛刺,茎四棱。根细长,木质有须根。叶长卵圆形,四片轮生。6—8月开淡黄白色小花,秋季结黑红色扁圆形小果。我省平原、山区,到处可见。采集时间是夏季采全草,秋季掘根。(见图)近三年多来,我大队医疗站每逢夏秋季,将涩拉秧全草制成水煎剂,用于治疗肠炎、腹泻及小儿消化不良性腹泻, Shibuya, also known as valerian, small shit, and rapa, are herbaceous for many years.
