英国钢铁研究协会(BISRA)的机械经营部已设计了一种小型悬臂式型材线材轧机。此轧机的原理是:在轧制线两侧的上下方安装两个悬臂式轧辊辊套,轧辊工作面在其轴承的外侧。对角配置的悬臂采用较大的轴承,以便有足够大的轴来连结小直径轧辊。这种结构特点使轴获得较大的刚度,这是保证精确轧制的一个重要因素,而且小轧辊能减小悬臂材料的尺寸和采用较小的电机功率。由于轧辊结构简单,因此可采用较贵的最耐磨的材料。
The Mechanical Management Division of the British Iron and Steel Research Institute (BISRA) has designed a small cantilever profile wire rod mill. The principle of this rolling mill is to install two cantilever roll covers on the upper and lower sides of the rolling line, the working face of the roll is on the outside of the bearing. Diagonally configured cantilevers use larger bearings so that there is a large enough shaft to attach the small diameter roll. This structural feature gives the shaft greater rigidity, which is an important factor in ensuring accurate rolling, and small rolls reduce the size of the cantilever material and use less motor power. As the roll structure is simple, so you can use the most expensive materials, the most wear-resistant.
