The discovery of the Oracle of Yinchu in 1899 opened up a new era in the academic history of modern China. After several generations of scholars’ efforts, the study of oracle bone has made brilliant achievements for over one hundred years and has become a discipline closely related to history, archeology, Chinese history and linguistics, and ancient history of science and technology.
