The laws of Arizona in the United States state that if a person who stole soap is found punished, he will be given a bath in the bathhouse until he runs out of stolen soap. The law of the city of Amoras, Mexico, stipulates that if a prison administrator escapes while on duty, he shares the same sin. The law of Mahatrarabad city of India stipulates that college students should be sentenced to half a year for cheating on exams and teachers should be sentenced to one year’s imprisonment for examinations. In the fourteenth century, Britain had enacted a law that is still unchallenged: it is forbidden to turn ordinary metal into gold.
