利用蜗杆型珩轮珩齿,是近年来发展的齿轮精加工方法之一,采用这种工艺,投资少见效快。采用插(滚)—热—蜗杆珩,可使淬火后的8~9级精度齿轮稳定提高到珩后7级(GB179-83)。蜗杆型珩轮珩齿加工,是利用含有磨料的单头珩轮,在与被珩齿轮啮合作自由传动的过程中,借齿面间的一定珩齿压力和较高的珩齿速度(20m/s)与工件相对滑移而产生切削力来进行切削。蜗杆型珩轮精度高,珩轮直径大,螺纹升角很小,所以其造形误差较小。
