康熙皇帝玄烨,是我国封建社会的一代君王,又是对医学颇有造诣的“医生天子”,尤其是他的饮食观,于今给人以启迪。康熙非常强调饮食对健康的作用,反对随意摄取,主张合理饮食。一是节饮食。在康熙的生活中,表现为不追求珍饈厚味,在他的食物谱中不见马牛羊、鸡犬豕之类的厚味,有的是鱼虾果蔬食品。他说:“……养生之道,尤以饮食为要义,朕自御极以来,凡所供馔肴皆寻常品味。”他强调“适可而止”。他说,“所好之物,不可多食”。
