Annals of a Provincial Town是该小说迄今为止唯一的英译本。
The novel “Little Town Spring and Autumn” (1956) is one of the red novels in the 17 years of New China Literature. The translated version of Annaberg Shakespeare’s Annals of a Provincial Town is the only English translation of the novel so far. Based on the differences between the norms of Chinese and English novels, through the quantitative analysis, it is found that Shabbi’s curtailment of the original texts, disassembly and reconstruction are based on the norms of natural paragraphs in English novels and take care of readers’ reading habits. His adaptation shows his art of fiction translation at the same time as it relates to his role in the practice of national translation.
