On 28 December 2013,the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress amended China’s Company Law on the minimum capital requirements and the new law came into force on 1 March 2014.Before the amendment,a limited liability company was required to have a minimum registered capital of RMB 30,000,or where the company was wholly owned by one shareholder,a minimum registered capital of RMB 100,000.For a company limited by shares,the minimum registered capital was RMB 5 million.
