反山和瑶山位于良渚遗址群,是良渚文化中等级最高的墓地,其用玉配置最为规范。本文主要根据对这两处墓地各墓随葬玉器及其组合的分析比较,说明贵族的身份和等级取决于6类玉器的配置:权杖、完整钺、钺、琮、三叉器和梳背,其使用具有制度性约束,据此将良渚贵族分为5个不同的等级。良渚遗址群以外地区用玉不规范,但贵族用玉的等级顺序和良渚遗址群内相同。根据不同墓地用玉种类和延续方式的差异,说明良渚社群两种不同的贵族存在方式:不间断延续和间断性延续,并提出贵族身份异地延续的假说。
