This paper mainly discusses the test results of using Efective Microorganisms to suppress methane gas emission from paddy fields. Experiments showed that in the first year, the inhibition was obvious with an average of above 59%, and the frequency of negative flux (that is, the sink of the paddy field becoming a sink for absorbing CH4 in the atmosphere) increased. This may be caused by photosynthetic bacteria contained in EM. Experiments also show that the use of EM can replace fertilizers to increase production
