生命科学与建筑学在20世纪都依靠强大的技术支撑获得了根本性的变化,虽然从表面上看两者似乎是平行发展,并没有太多必然联系。然而,建筑学旨在为“人类生存活动”创造适宜环境的思想内核却使得生命科学成为了其有力的工具。“体内平衡”“动态活力”“张力模型”“新陈代谢”等原本属于生命科学范畴的概念,逐渐渗透到了建筑的实践和理论研究中,在一定程度上使当时建筑界中所盛行的“形式主义”倾向摆脱了功能僵化、造型类型化、缺乏生命活力的局面。更重要的是,它们还改变了人们对建筑所持的固有观念,激发出了更加多样的想象力与创造力。
Life sciences and architecture have all undergone radical changes in the twentieth century with strong technical support, although on the face of it the two seem to be moving in parallel and there is not much necessarily connected. More importantly, they have also changed the stereotypes that people hold about architecture and inspired a greater variety of imagination and creativity.
