Different concentrations of human alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) were added during the induction of DCs from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). The number of DCs, the expression of co-stimulatory molecules CD80, and the stimulation of T cells were significantly increased. The inhibitory effect of AFP is related to its concentration and can be antagonized by the anti-AFP monoclonal antibody.
