珠二坳陷位于珠江口盆地南部,其主体位于南海现今陆架坡折带以外的深水陆坡区。通过古气候条件、古地理环境和典型地震相的综合分析,认为始新世—早渐新世断陷期珠二坳陷具有形成大型湖泊和发育大规模中—深湖相烃源岩的地质条件。从形成与演化历史、沉积环境和地震相特征来看,珠二坳陷与珠一坳陷存在可对比性,其文昌组中—深湖相烃源岩应该具有良好的生烃潜力;近几年白云凹陷周边实钻资料也证实了恩平组中—深湖相烃源岩的生烃潜力。因此,白云深水区有着大油气区的勘探前景。
The Pearl River Delta is located in the south of the Pearl River Mouth Basin, and its main body is located in the deep-water slope area outside the current continental shelf slope break in the South China Sea. Based on the analysis of palaeoclimatic conditions, palaeogeographic environment and typical seismic facies, it is considered that the Eocene-Oligocene rift phase of the Pearl River Delta had the characteristics of forming large-scale lakes and developing large-scale source rocks of Meso-Deep Lake facies condition. From the aspects of formation and evolution history, sedimentary environment and seismic facies, there is a contrast between the Zhu-Er depression and the Zhu-1 depression, and the Meso-Deep-lacustrine source rocks of Wenchang Formation should have good potential for hydrocarbon generation. Recently, The data of actual drilling in the periphery of Baiyun Sag also confirm the hydrocarbon generation potential of middle-deep lacustrine source rocks in Enping Formation. Therefore, the Baiyun Deepwater Area has the exploration prospect of large oil and gas areas.
