五十年代末,在那场政治风暴中,我国一批著名的作家、诗人、画家、作曲家等,被遣送至北大荒农场劳动,在“改造客观世界的同时改造主观世界”。在这批“文化流人”中有一位传奇式人物,他就是原人民文学出版社的副总编辑、古典文学专家、诗人聂绀弩。聂绀弩到北大荒后先在农场劳动,后被安排在农垦总局的《北大荒文艺》杂志当编辑。当时在这个刊物当编辑的还有著名画家、《人民画报》副总编丁聪。聂绀弩在北大荒两年多的艰苦岁月里,写了将近五十首诗。其实,远不止这些,还有些诗由于种种原因已散失无存了。
