由于航运业不发达,越南修船业规模很小,设施也比较落后。在北部的锦普、海防,中部的岘港,南部的芹苴、头顿、胡志明市、牙庄、归仁诸港中,除海防的发盛修船厂、白滕船厂以及胡志明市的巴森船厂,只有芹苴可以修海军装备,归仁能够维修小型船舶。岘港虽号称拥有2座5000~7000载重吨级的干坞及1座举力为4500t的浮坞,但实际的修船能力并不理想。发盛船厂东临北部湾,是越南北方第一大船厂,年修船能力12艘次,最大可修150m长、
Due to the underdeveloped shipping industry, Vietnam’s ship repair industry is very small and its facilities are relatively backward. In Jinpu, Haiphong in the north, Da Nang in the central part, Can Tho in the south, Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Yazhuang and Qujen in the harbors, except for the Haishong Shiping Shipyard, Baiten Shipyard, and Bassen in Ho Chi Minh City. At the shipyard, only Can Tho can repair naval equipment, and Quinhon can repair small ships. Although Danang claims to have two dry docks with a capacity of 5,000 to 7,000 dwt and a floating dock with a lift force of 4,500 tons, the actual ship repair capacity is not satisfactory. Fasheng Shipyard is adjacent to Beibu Gulf to the east and is the largest shipyard in Northern Vietnam. It has a capacity of 12 ships a year and can repair 150m in length.
