2005年教帅节,我社决定出版一套由教育部师范教育司组编的由教坛名师撰写的丛书——《教育家成长丛书》,以营造尊师重教的风气,展示改革开放以来广大教师改革探索、创新的成果,引导中小学教师成长。国务委员陈至立同志为丛书作序;教育部袁贵仁副部长,全国人大常委、原国家教委副主任、国家总督学柳斌同志担任丛书总顾问,各级行政部门的主管及教育研究专家担任丛书的编委,这充分体现了领导和专家对丛书的关怀与重视。当我捧着这套共20册约600余万字的沉甸甸的丛书时,我深深感到她的厚实和凝重。回想编辑丛书的日日夜夜,读着一部部书稿,看着一幅幅照片,感动与震撼萦绕心头。李吉林将诗书于学生心田做思想者,
