我县在1990年初对农村妇幼保健队伍的现状进行了调查. 我县共有36名儿保医生,其中的34名为兼职,每名儿保医生平均为4 000名儿童服务,且每月仅服务5~7天,还会遇到工作调动而“缺编”,儿保队伍显示了非专业性与不稳定性.共有103名妇保医生(实际是各乡医院的妇产科医生),其中,主管医师只有2人,医师37人,取得医士职称者29人,另有35人为近几年由各乡医院招聘者.县妇幼保健所工作人员19人,其中,大专学历1人,中专学历17人,高中1人.纵观上述情况,可见我县妇幼保健队伍的现状是:
