通蚕鲜8号系江苏沿江地区农业科学研究所以97035/Ja-7有性杂交选育而成的优质高产大粒鲜食蚕豆新品种,属秋播大粒鲜食蚕豆类型,全生育期约220 d(采收鲜荚生育期208.6 d);大荚大粒,干籽粒百粒重约195 g,鲜籽粒百粒重410~440 g;产量高,江苏省区域试验鲜荚平均产量17 424.1 kg/hm2;品质优,蛋白质含量27.9%,脂肪含量1.2%,单宁含量0.474%,游离氨基酸含量0.915%;抗逆性强,耐寒性好,中抗赤斑病、锈病,较耐白粉病,综合性状优良;适宜在江苏、浙江、福建、重庆、上海及长江中下游地区作秋播鲜食蚕豆种植。
