非O-1群霍乱弧菌,也称为不凝集弧菌(NAG)或非霍乱弧菌。虽然至今尚未报道它能象O-1群霍乱弧菌那样引起大流行,但是现在认为它是急性胃肠炎爆发和散发病例的病原体。不过,对它的致病机理,目前尚未完全搞清楚。有人提出它能产生一种类似于大肠杆菌耐热性肠毒素(EC-ST)的毒素。也有人报道它能产生一种不耐热肠毒素,在乳鼠试验中具有活性。作者认为其他工作者所研究的仅是粗制毒素,并不能确定毒素性
Vibrio cholerae other than O-1, also known as nonagglutinating Vibrio (NAG) or non-Vibrio cholerae. Although it has not been reported so far to cause a pandemic like Vibrio cholerae O-1, it is now considered the causative agent of cases of acute gastroenteritis outbreaks and sporadic cases. However, its pathogenesis is not yet fully understood. It has been suggested that it produces a toxin similar to E. coli heat-stable enterotoxin (EC-ST).
