目前在我国英语新闻只占极小的部分。虽然数量相对较少,在受众数量上也不能与传统中文新闻报道相比,但由于它担负着的重要使命,其地位和作用还是令人瞩目的。作为中国在国际上声音的传播者,英语新闻以其使用英文采写、针对性强、图文并茂、信息量大等优势,成为目前中国影响西方受众的主要传播手段之一,在增进交流、传递信息等方面发挥着重要作用。但应注意的是,英语新闻在迅速发展中也存在不少问题与不足,致使它们在国际传播中的声音比较弱,“西强我弱”的局面并未从根本上改变。为使英语新闻更好地完成对外报道任务,更有效地实现对外传播,研究英语新闻的特点,分析其在对外传播中的优势与不足,明确其今后发展的目标与出路,就成为新闻工作者们期待解的重要课题。 At present, English news in our country occupies only a very small part.
