Gunter Pauli, born in 1956 in Antwerp, Belgium, is the founder of the concept of “blue economy.” He graduated from the Loyola University of Saint Ignatius in Belgium majoring in economics in 1979 and received his MBA from the world-renowned INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France in 1982, Master of Science in System Design from the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Honorary Doctor of Economics from Page University in Hungary. Gunter has lived in 4 continents and speaks 7 languages. He has been living in Japan since 1994 and remains in South Africa for most of the time.
