烤烟新品种吉烟九号是根据性状互补原理,用抗病性好、抗逆性强、易烤、丰产性品系9501为母本,引进加拿大的优质品种温德尔为父本进行杂交,经系普法选择,于2000年育成。2006年1月通过省级评审,2007年10月通过全国烟草品种审定委员会审定。吉烟九号原烟颜色多金黄—正黄,油分多—有,结构疏松,身份适中;总糖26.59%,烟碱1.78%,糖碱比13.09,主要化学成分适宜,比例协调;卷烟评吸香气质好,香气量足,具中偏清香型风格。其综合性状巧妙地集两亲本优点于一体。据品系比较试验、省区试、全国区试、省和国家生
