1980年9月,王鉴明(轻工业部甘蔗糖业科学研究所)、刘志诚(广东省农业科学院)两同志接受中央杞垦部的委托,前往非洲扎伊尔的基桑加尼省,会同我国派出该地援外组的吴古稀、黄焕权、梁武、陈祖三等同志,与扎伊尔专家和工作人员一起,组成防治“非洲茎螟”研究工作组,进行了一系列的调查和防治研究。他们在工作条件比较艰苦、时间较短促的情况下,取得了良好的结果,为扎伊尔的甘蔗糖业和发展中伊两国的友好关系作出了贡献。
In September 1980, Wang Kam-ming (Institute of Sugarcane Research, Ministry of Light Industry) and Liu Zhicheng (Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences), two comrades accepted the commission from the Central Qilu Reclamation Department to travel to Kisangani Province in Zaire of Africa and dispatched them with China Wu Gou-lei, Huang Huan-quan, Liang Wu and Chen Zusan from the foreign aid teams formed the research team on prevention and treatment of “African stem borer” together with Zairian experts and staff and carried out a series of investigations and prevention and control research. They have achieved good results under difficult working conditions and short period of time, contributing to the sugar cane industry in Zaire and developing the friendly relations between China and Iran.
