Gangba region is located in southern Tibet, is the eastern section of the Himalayas, tectonic on the northern edge of the Indian plate. The Cretaceous in the area is well developed and rich in fossils. From 1903 to 1904, H.H.Hayden, Indian Geological Survey, conducted a more detailed survey of the Cretaceous in the area and preliminarily classified the strata. In 1916, H. Douville studied the ammonites collected by Hayden in the Gamba area and discussed the stratigraphic age. Since 1963, geological teams affiliated to the Tibet Bureau of Geology have conducted cross-section studies in this area. From 1966 to 1968, the Tibet Science Expedition of the Chinese Academy of Sciences once again turned the area white
