今年11月,在清华大学艾滋病与非典国际研讨会上,美国前总统克林顿就艾滋病等问题发表演讲,并同中国内地惟一一名公开自己姓名的艾滋病病毒携带者宋鹏飞见面。21岁的宋鹏飞在6年前成为一个艾滋病病毒感染者。他是在当地医院进行腿部手术时,因输不良血液感染了艾滋病病毒。治疗期间,因媒体披露,宋鹏飞被迫公开了自己的姓名,一度成为名人。两年来,在一些团体的资助下,他坚持使用“鸡尾酒疗法”,以抑制病毒的扩散。在研讨会上,克林顿与之握手、合影留念,并搂着他的肩膀说:“谢谢你的勇敢。在艾滋病如此普遍的情况下,它如同我们正常生活中的一部分。我们应该正视它。”
In November of this year, at the International Symposium on AIDS and SARS at Tsinghua University, former U.S. President Bill Clinton spoke on issues such as AIDS and met with the only person in the Chinese mainland who disclosed his name to HIV carriers Song Pengfei. Song Pengfei, 21, became an HIV-infected person 6 years ago. When he was performing leg surgery at a local hospital, he was infected with HIV due to bad blood transfusions. During the treatment, due to media disclosure, Song Pengfei was forced to disclose his name and once became a celebrity. In the past two years, under the support of some groups, he has insisted on using “hashing therapy” to suppress the spread of the virus. At the seminar, Clinton took a handshake and took a picture with him and said to his shoulder: “Thank you for your bravery. Under the AIDS epidemic, it is like a part of our normal life. We should face it squarely.”
