目前蔬菜生产机械化程度低,日常耕作管理主要以手工操作为主,而翻土仍是菜农的沉重负担。以本地习惯,每户夫妻俩人专业承包菜田5×666.7M~2,复种3.5次,每年需翻土17.5×666.7M~2,共需52.5个工日,约占全年劳动工日(平均约600个)的13.5%。为减轻菜农的劳动负荷,把更多的时间用于田间管理,以获得优质、丰产、高效益的产品,近年来对免耕蔬菜作了初步探索。
