模具设计人员的缺乏成了模具行业发展的瓶颈,目前我国高职,主要培养面向企业的实用型人才,可以是模具的加工者也可以是模具的设计者;中国现有的模具企业,除了少数的大型模具企业外,多数是小型企业,从事模具的加工业。其在职大部分人员都未接受过专业教育。因此摆在高职模具设计与制造专业面前的问题是怎样构建合理、实用的教学课程体系,才能培养的毕业生既有模具专业理论知识,又要有有过硬的实践经验,是技术型劳动者,又要懂管理的复合型模具人才。
