近年来,苏联在海港工程中已普遍采用钢筋混凝土管柱基础。最常用的两种管柱是:1)管外径为1600毫米(壁厚120~150毫米),纵筋是预应力的;2)外径为1200毫米(壁厚100~120毫米),纵筋是未加预应力的两种管柱都按每节8米或4米长预制,沉桩时在现场拼接到所需长度。 1970~1972年,苏联列宁格勒海运设计院所属水下检查组在波罗的海、黑海和日本海的一些港口进行了桩基检查。结果表明:
