转向失灵是D80A-18、D85A-18推土机多发性故障之一。该机转向系统是由两个常结合湿式多片磨擦离合器、两个浮式制动带、一个液压转向阀及操纵机构等四部分组成。转向离合器的分离是靠转向阀来的液压油推动转向活塞来完成,而转向阀则是由操纵部分的手动拉杆控制的。刹车带亦是靠转向阀来的液压油推动转向助力活塞,并通过摇臂来实现。而助力活塞既可由操纵部分的脚踏板来控制,亦可由手动拉杆“联动”(与转向阀)控制。正是由于离合器与刹车带均靠液压助力,故转向操作简单、
Steering failure is one of the multiple failures of the D80A-18 and D85A-18 bulldozers. The steering system of this aircraft is composed of four parts: wet friction multi-disc friction clutch, two floating brake belts, a hydraulic steering valve and control mechanism. The steering clutch is disengaged by the hydraulic oil from the steering valve pushing the steering piston, while the steering valve is controlled by the manual lever of the steering section. The brake belt is also driven by the hydraulic oil from the steering valve to propel the steering assist piston and achieve it through the rocker arm. The assist piston can be controlled by the foot pedal of the control part, or it can be controlled by the manual pull rod “linkage” (with the steering valve). It is because the clutch and the brake belt are supported by hydraulic pressure, so the steering operation is simple.
