法官:今年2月份,某化工厂欠我单位货款5000元,其法定代表人向我单位出具欠条一份,并承诺于当月底还清所欠贷款,逾期则以所欠货款总额的10%计付违约金。因其未履约,我于今年4月15日向法院起诉,要求该化工厂给付贷款,同时按约承担违约责任。诉讼中,化工厂答辩称同意给付贷款,但违约金过多。法院工作人员也表示我主张的违约金不能全额支持。请问,双方约定的违约金为何就得不到法院支持呢?
